Media Release – 2024 Rural Management Challenge – Team Hinchinbrook Havoc!

Hinchinbrook Shire Council is excited to announce its participation in the annual Local Government Rural Management Challenge (RMC), with a dynamic team of enthusiastic and upcoming leaders ready to take on the challenge. Competing as ‘Hinchinbrook Havoc’, the group will engage in a day of fun and challenging simulated Council tasks, offering valuable insight into the operations of Local Government.

The team comprises Amaya Fortini, James Hunter, Lourence Russo and Harrison Peeke, with Breanna Vanoli as their mentor. Together, they will tackle a series of activities designed to test their skills in leadership, problem solving and teamwork, while gaining a deeper understanding of Council operations.

Team Mentor Breanna Vanoli said, “This is a good opportunity for our team to grow, develop and show their potential as future leaders. We are excited to participate and represent Hinchinbrook with pride.”

The RMC is an annual event that brings Local Government teams together from across the region to compete in a series of realistic, Council-based challenges. The event promotes leadership, innovation and collaboration, offering participants a chance to develop their skills in a supportive and energetic environment.

Mayor Ramon Jayo added, “Our team is a fantastic representation of the talent and energy within the Hinchinbrook Shire. We are proud to support them and look forward to seeing their achievements.”

The team is excited to represent Hinchinbrook and take on the challenges ahead in this fun and insightful event, hosted in Ingham next Wednesday 23 October 2024.
