Media Release – Council to Host 46th Hinchinbrook Art Awards Exhibition Opening Night

Council will be hosting the 46^th Hinchinbrook Art Awards Exhibition Opening at 6.00pm Friday 8 November 2024 at the TYTO Regional Art Gallery.

As a signature event in the artistic calendar, the 46^th Hinchinbrook Art Awards promises to be a captivating showcase, featuring a diverse array of creations from talented artists nationwide. This event serves as a platform for emerging and established artists to present their finest work, spanning various media.

The exhibition will feature over one hundred outstanding pieces, competing in the following categories:

• Painting (2D);
• Water Colour;
• Mixed Media;
• Digital Media;
• Works on Paper;
• Photography;
• Ceramics; and
• Sculptural Form.

Entries will be automatically entered into the following relevant categories:

• Open Award Acquisitive;
• Local Artist Award (Hinchinbrook Shire residents only);
• People’s Choice Award;
• Indigenous Artist Award; and
• Youth Award (For artists 18 years and under at the date of opening night).

The 46^th Hinchinbrook Art Awards Exhibition will be on display from 6.00pm Friday 8 November until 4.00pm Friday 20 December 2024.

All entrants are required to attend the Exhibition Opening Night on Friday 8 November 2024, or send a representative on their behalf.
